Reach The Pinnacle of Success by Improving Your Professionalism

Professionalism determines whether a person will be successful in his career or not. We assume that you are currently pursuing your business degree at a reputed business school. It means you have just put your first step towards building your career. Now that you are looking forward to build a successful career, it is important that you understand the importance of displaying professionalism and more importantly, be professional at heart. But what are the differences between an ordinary employee and a successful professional? We are going to cover the exact subject in the following sections of this article.

What is professionalism? Make an essay with impeccable professionalism:

We have studied a number of dictionaries available around the globe (most of them are available on the Internet) and found that each of them defines the term, ‘professionalism’ to be a set of conducts, ethics, and practices that determines a professional person. On the other hand, those dictionaries have defined ‘professional’ as the person who has an expertise on the field of his operation, along with proper and continuous motivation, sense of commitment, literary and practical skills related to his profession, as well as a strong work morale.

We have analysed the characteristics of the top professionals in the world and figured out the traits that you can implement in your life for ensuring your career growth. Here we go.

• Demeanour

Whenever you meet any person, the first thing that he or she notices in you is your demeanour. Make sure that you are confident about your capabilities. However, most of the employees commit a common mistake, i.e. they exude over-confidence, which not only hurts their reputation but also ruin their chances of career development.

• Competence

The most important characteristic of professionalism is having an expertise in your profession. Once you are aware of your capabilities, you would not have to worry about being confidence. So, become an expert in your field and everyone will respect you. In order to stay competent, you should attend seminars, conferences and read books related to your industry.

• Capability to think analytically

As an MBA student, you may already have estimated how much pressure you shall have to handle once you become a manager. Managers are expected to bring multiple solutions every time they face any problems. Under such circumstances, an analytical mind is everything he or she has to keep up to the expectations.

• They dress impeccably

Professional men and women know how to dress in a professional environment. Just like James Bond, they are dressed to impress their clients, which eventually lead them to score more sales. Even if you are not in marketing, dressing appropriately will allow you to earn the respect of others and achieve success in your career.

• High organisation skills

After analysing some of the uber-successful professionals across various fields including Bill Gates, Elon Musk and Warren Buffet, we have come to notice that all of these men have few things in common. And the most important of them is that they are highly organised when it comes to their work schedule. They are undoubtedly the busiest people on this planet and that means they must track their tasks. If you want to achieve success in life and career, you must pay attention to enhance your organisation skills. For instance, you can ask for online essay writing help in order to complete your homework on time. Outsourcing the hectic tasks is one of the decisions that only a true manager can take. Be the manger of your life.

• Eagerness to learn

Elon Musk never attended any course related to rocket science, yet he is the CEO of the first private company in the world to launch commercial spacecrafts. Additionally, he and his company (Tesla) are working to send human beings to Mars. How is he able to achieve such success? Well, when asked in an interview, Mr. Musk answered that he loves to reads books and that helped him to learn about rockets. Therefore, the moral of the story is that you must not be satisfied with your current skill sets and seek more knowledge. Bill Gates, one of the legendary tech entrepreneurs of all time prefer to read at least for an hour every day before going to bed. Do you need more motivation?

Why is it important to have professionalism? Your sample essay writing should show that:

The definitions for ‘professionalism’ are easy to write than implementing practically. It takes hard work and immense dedication to develop this particular quality. Lack of professionalism can lead others to lose confidence in you and that may hurt your reputation. Can you imagine a pilot, who is not sure which way to fly his plane and asks his passengers for suggestions? Similarly, a manager must be aware of his responsibilities and he should strive to deliver his projects on time. It is his professional attitude that allows a manager to persuade and motivate his co-workers and team to complete the assigned tasks within deadline, without compromising on the quality part.

From a careerist perspective, employers want high quality individuals as the managers of their firm. They desire a person who is both responsible and proactive at the same time, and who can work under pressure while performing consistently for the welfare of their company. We all know about Sundar Pichai, who had started as an executive for Google. Over the years, based on his great performance, Mr. Pichai has grown to become the CEO of the same company where he started, which is indeed a motivational tale for all the MBAs out there. Nevertheless, success, as mentioned earlier, comes with perseverance and adaptability as well as a desire to grow.

10 Writing Mistakes That Can Hurt Your MBA Dreams

Have you ever wondered why your friends get lower marks even when they work so hard to complete your assignments? If yes, you are not alone. Most students feel the same. The problem lies in the art of writing as much as it depends on the source of information used in the document.

You must pay attention to the technicalities involved in writing an essay, especially if you are a MBA student. It is most likely that you are overwhelmed by the loads of papers you have to complete by the end of the month and the bad news is that we all have only 24 hours per day.  Therefore, you must be particularly careful about concentrating on your assignments to the fullest so that simple mistakes do not cost you huge marks. Besides, developing excellent communication skills is an utmost necessity for management students, given that they will be spending their life communicating with their peers and juniors to complete any given task.

Here we will discuss the common mistakes that students make while writing an essay. You can learn from these flaws and avoid replicating them in your own MBA assignments

o   Inconsistency in tense
Often writers lose the sight of the outcome of the sentences they write. They may be so passionate about the topics that they neglect the flow of the tense used. Suppose you start your essay in simple present and end it in past participle, it will be hard for the professor to digest your sentiments. In order to score greater marks and improve your overall writing skills, make sure to use consistent tense throughout your document, especially if you are writing in an academic scenario.

o   Lack of analysis
In many cases, students tend to provide a synopsis of each case study in order to provide debatable information on their topic, which is one of the main factors behind low scores. Synopsis is relevant when you are sending a proposal to your professor related to your assignments. When you have actually started working on your academic paper, analysing each case from tip to toe will be much effective than providing a general plot summary.

o   Not formatting the quotations
Do you know what professors hate while checking the assignments submitted by his students? It is the excessive usage of quotations or lack of the same. Moreover, your marks depend on how well you are able to present your document. Making the quotations stand out by using single space between each word inside the quotes and writing them in italics will do the job for you. And your readers will find it easy to read and find the difference between your own statements and the ones you have borrowed from others.

o   Using contractions
You must not use contractions like ‘don’t’, ‘can’t’, ‘won’t’ in a professional scenario. Instead, write the full forms with dignity.

o   Lack of evidence
What can you expect from the professors if you submit an assignment that does not have enough corporate evidences to highlight your point? In an academic atmosphere, you have to rely on concrete documentation for proving your point of view. If you are preparing a case study of KFC’s operations in China, make sure to use charts and news stories that justify your argument.

o   Using passive voice
Writing in passive voice in academic assignments is an error worth avoiding. Passive voice often creates confusions in the mind of readers about who is performing what, which is not desirable from a management student.

o   Addressing the reader
Never address the reader while writing an essay. When you are working on your academic presentations, you are dealing with bigger problems involving corporations and institutions or even the economy. The topic may be of extreme importance to the citizens of your country but that does not give you the authority to write the content in a formal tone. Although you may like to grab the professor’s attention by involving him directly using terms like ‘you’, ‘your’ and so on, he will not hesitate to deduct valuable marks from your hard worked assignment.

o   Clichés
Now, you have to be serious about this one. Your term papers are not pieces of philosophy but examples of analytical explanation of any given corporate scenario. The reader would not expect you to throw cliché dialogues such as ‘life is a war where only the warriors survive’. Try to be specific in order to make your document understandable and relatable.

o   Writing a ‘personal’ introduction
You should never start your essays, theses or term papers using sentences like ‘In this essay of mine’ or ‘Here I will focus on’. Allot the introduction for explaining the summary of the topic you have worked on. Your professor already knows that you have written the assignment. They can see your name on the cover. So do not waste yours and your professor’s time by using unnecessary self-centric sentences.

o   Writing on a broad topic
This one is the most common mistake found in management projects across different streams. Many students aim to assess a bigger problem, which often proves to be of broader aspects. As a result, it distracts the writer from the original topic he planned to write on and thus, the academic paper does not get its desired shape. If a certain topic is broad, for example; the effects of World War on global business scenario, figure out how you can be more specifically concentrated on a single field. ‘The effects of world war on the American manufacturing industry’ can do the trick for you.

Good essay writers are not the one who opt for perfection, but those who make mistakes only to learn from them. As they say, there is no failure at all; it is only success and lessons learned. Grab your pen to overcome your obstacles. Let this guide help you to achieve your MBA dreams.

3 Books Any MBA Aspirants Must Read

Over the years, we have been receiving questions from students requesting what the best books are, providing succinct ideas on staffing, planning and achieving profitability in business. Books are still the biggest assets over other contents to define such areas compactly. Even academicians are asking for the same. Presuming the popularity of a book is unmatched; our team of executives did a thorough research after a quick interaction with our experts on the names of the books.

3 Books Any MBA Aspirants Must Read

Our team of experts have accessed around fifty names before narrowing down with these three names as the most enriched content fruitful for any MBA aspirants, who are likely to become managers  in coming years. Considering finance, human resources and environment are the pillars to business these three books are narrow down.

  1. Balancing Finances and New Business Ideas:

To consider success in business, Eric Reis’s book on “The Lean Startup: How Today’s Entrepreneurs Use Continuous Innovation to Create Radically Successful Businesses” explains the many obstacles start-ups may face while deciding on their expenses. The Essential Tips for Surviving College Assignments

Assignments have over the course of the evolution of the educational system become a part and parcel of daily life of students. And when you are in college things do not get any easier. So, it is necessary for you to be aware of the whole process to go through in order to write an assignment during your life at college. We will provide you with tips that should be followed throughout the process.

We will start with the very basics:

  • Keep a wall planner and diligently write down all of your deadlines so that you are aware of exactly what is due and when at a glance.
  • Make sure that you break down the process of writing assignments in to various steps and set mini-deadlines for all of the necessary steps.
  • Make it a point that you thoroughly analyze the title of the topic and know what it is asked from you. A common fault with many students is that many a times students do not get proper marks as they strayed from the principal topic. Elaborate on your opinion.
  • Do your research with the aim of answering your question. Ask critical questions to yourself about the reading that will help you in deciding your view-point and express your opinion based on due evidence regarding the answer to the question posed by the essay.
  • Pen down the important elements of your essay. This ensures that the significance as well as the relevance of your point is not lost. Examine all of your essay paragraphs asking yourself the question of why you have written that. In case you find that you do not know the answer either bring clarity or simply leave it out. View your essay as the reader.
  • See the essay as the reader and determine the best way to demonstrate that the argument is tenable and is properly based on reason, supported accordingly with evidence and that the conclusion is its logical consequence.

Use previous feedback

• Go back to the feedback gathered through your previous assignments and apply it to the current work. You will be surprised at how big a difference it can make.

Structure

While determining the structure of your essay, remember to ask the following questions to yourself:

  • Does the introduction address the question in its entirety?
  • Do each of the paragraphs state a clear point and do they logically flow from one to the other?
  • Does the conclusion make a proper summary of your answer?

Make multiple drafts

Make sure that there is enough time for you to make multiple drafts of your assignment. Keep a day between each draft and finally proofread the content.

Adhere to the guidelines provided by your school

• The last tip we want to share is that you follow the academic practice of your university with the proper referencing and attributing sources in the appropriate manner.

You may also think of hiring an online assignment help of good quality to easily complete your assignment through a reputed platform.

The Characteristics of Academic Writing

In general it may be said that the academic writing as practiced in the English language happens to be linear. This means that a single piece of academic writing has a central theme or point and all of the parts contribute towards building up the main argument presented without repetitions and digressions. The aim is to inform and not simply to entertain or serve as a recreation. A standard formal form is followed. Academic writing is by and large characterized by 8 main features and the style of writing is accurate and precise. The characteristics happen to be:

  • Complexity

Writing is usually more of a complex nature than mere speaking. Writing makes use of longer words, the lexicon is denser and the vocabulary also is more varied. It makes use of more phrases based on nouns rather than those based on verbs. The written manifestation of language is grammatically more complex and makes more use of passives and subordinate clauses.

  • Formality

Academic writing is more or less formal. This usually translates to avoiding colloquial expressions and words.

  • Precision

In case of academic writing precise figures and facts are provided.

  • Objectivity

The written manifestation of English generally tends to be more objective and less personal. So there is a lesser amount of reference to the writer themselves. This basically translates to an emphasis on the information given and the arguments made rather than your personal details. This in turn leads to increased use of adjectives and nouns rather than adverbs and verbs.

  • Explicitness

Academic writing explicitly states the in-text relationships. Further there is the additional responsibility on the shoulders of the writer to clearly state the related parts of text. These connections are forged through the use of diverse signaling words.

  • Accuracy

Academic writing makes use of accurate vocabulary. The meanings of subject words are narrow. There is a marked difference in terms of linguistics between phonemics and phonetics. However General English usually does not differentiate between the two.

  • Hedging

In all of the academic writing penned down by you, it is required of you to make to determine a specific stance on a particular issue or topic or subject or the strengths of the claims that have been made by you. There are diverse ways to accomplish this. In this context there is a common technique prevalent in academic writing referred to as Hedge by linguists.

  • Responsibility

Finally in case of academic writing it is your, the writer’s responsibility to provide justification and evidence for any of the claims made by you. You also remain responsible for making demonstrations of understanding of source texts used by you.

Instead of sweating it out yourselves you can also place the responsibility of fulfilling your academic requirements to good academic writing services, like Management Paper which provides exceptional quality at affordable prices.
